A typical year
6,000 miles at 3.5 mi/kWh is about 1,714 kWh. On the Economy 12 low rate that is about £225; on Standard about £446. The same miles in a 45 mpg petrol car use about 606 litres, about £1,131 at the 186.6p island average (GSY Fuel Prices, 22 Oct 2026). Standing charges are extra on both electricity tariffs.
Guernsey has no official island-average pump price, so we use one retailer’s published forecourt price. Change it to what you pay. Jersey version
