Who took the photos on this site, and the licence each one is used under.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Every car and guide photo on DynamoShang comes from Wikimedia Commons under a free licence: CC0 (public domain), CC BY or CC BY-SA. We checked the licence on each file's Commons page before using it. The author is named below, each name links to the original file page, and each licence links to its terms. Photos are not endorsed by their authors or by the car makers shown.
Changes: we cropped the car photos to a 16:10 frame and resized them to 800×500 pixels in WebP format. We resized the guide photos, and the EV-vs-petrol header image places two photos side by side. Under CC BY-SA, our modified versions of the CC BY-SA photos are available under the same licence as the original. Some photos show a closely related variant, or the same car under a sister brand's badge (for example an Opel in place of a Vauxhall), where no free photo of the exact UK model was available.
